Ingredients: Serves 6
- 200g streaky bacon
- 400g Sausages
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 red pepper deseeded and diced
- 1 yellow pepper deseeded and diced
- 1 840g can of Fairway assured baked beans
- A dash of Worcester sauce
- Black pepper
- Fresh parsley to garnish
- Topping
- 1kg Fairway Assured Mash
- 130ml boiled water
- 30g butter
Method
- Fry bacon and sausage in a pan until starting to brown
- Add garlic and pepper and fry until soft
- Add baked beans and a dash of Worcester sauce and season with pepper and transfer into a baking dish.
- Heat mash in microwave on high for 7 minutes, stir and put back in for one minute intervals until hot. Around 10-12 minutes depending on your microwave.
- Stir in 130ml of freshly boiled water
- Put mash on beans mixture in a baking dish, dot with butter and bake at 200ºC until golden and bubbling. Around 20 mins if from hot or 45-50 mins (at 180ºC if from refrigerated)
