Easter Indulgence: Integrate effortless desserts onto your Easter Menu

Easter weekend used to be one of the more lucrative holidays for the hospitality industry, and after a tough few years, we’re finally seeing some growth. Last year, over the Easter weekend, restaurants saw a 3.09% increase in transaction volumes, compared to 2022, according to Barclays. The report found that, although consumers have been eating out less, they have been spending time socialising and eating out with friends and family during special occasions – a sunny weekend also helped!

So, while we can’t guarantee sunshine, we can offer you some great ideas on what to cook over the Easter weekend. Our Fairway Chef has already shared their ‘Guide to Seasonal Success’, which contains some great tips and recipe ideas, from seafood for Good Friday to a delicious roast dinner, with all the trimmings, on Easter Sunday.

But, what about dessert? Dessert can often be the most time-consuming part of a meal, which is why we have a brilliant selection of premium-quality desserts, which you can simply plate and serve.

Here are our top desserts for Easter Weekend:

GF Belgian Chocolate Brownie Traybake

You can’t go wrong with brownies! A hit with children and adults alike, our Belgian Chocolate Brownies are everything you expect from a brownie: crunchy on the outside, gooey on the inside. Plus, they are drizzled with white and dark chocolate and are even gluten-free.

Sticky Toffee and Butterscotch Pudding

A classic English dessert, perfect for those with a sweet tooth. Our 12 individual puddings each come with a smooth and creamy toffee butterscotch sauce; all you have to do is warm them up and serve, with either cream or ice cream.

Tart au Citron

This fresh and zesty dessert is made with tangy Sicilian lemon custard, offering a refreshing end to any meal – best served with ice cream or crème fraîche. We also offer a Chocolate Tart, made with Belgian Chocolate Truffle.

Chocolate Orange Cake

Chocolate and orange is a classic Easter combination – some people even say it tastes like a ‘Jaffa Cake’…

Our moist sponge is soaked in orange, then filled with a gooey orange jelly and coated in a shiny Belgian chocolate ganache. It’s nostalgic and seasonal. Serve with cream or ice cream.

Bramley Apple Pie

There are very few people in the UK who don’t enjoy apple pie, and our classic take is sure to delight your customers. Short-crust pastry is generously filled with tangy slices of Bramley apple and topped with a golden pastry lid. Serve hot or cold with cream, ice cream or custard and comes pre-sliced in 14 pieces for effortless portioning. Vegetarian.

Spotted Dick Pudding

Spotted Dick is another nostalgic pud, which you can’t go wrong with, whether you’re a pub, restaurant, care home or hospital. Our lightly spiced pudding sponge is enriched with juicy raisins, and comes in 12 individual puddings, which you simply need to warm and serve with custard or cream.

7-Layer Rainbow Cake

The Fairway Assured 7-Layer Rainbow Cake is a visually appealing and versatile dessert with seven multicoloured sponge layers, buttercream filling, and natural multicoloured sprinkles. It’s both eye-catching and delicious, with a light, fluffy texture. It’s part of our new cake range that you can see here.
